You'll find this sprawling traditional pub right in the heart of Belmont Street, perfectly positioned for catching folk before or after they've been browsing the vintage shops and record stores. The interior feels authentically worn-in rather than artificially distressed, with dark wood, low ceilings and enough nooks and crannies to lose yourself in for an entire afternoon. The beer selection leans heavily Scottish, and they do a decent line in proper pub food that won't break the bank. It gets properly busy at weekends when the whole of Aberdeen seems to descend on Belmont Street, but that's half the charm – you're guaranteed good craic and the kind of atmosphere that only comes from a pub that's been doing its thing for years without trying too hard.
