You might roll your eyes at another chain restaurant, but Las Iguanas on Seven Dials genuinely gets Latin American food right. The location helps – tucked into one of Bath's prettier corners, it's got enough character to feel special without trying too hard. The cocktails are properly made (their caipirinhas are particularly good), and the food goes well beyond the usual Tex-Mex nonsense you find elsewhere. The menu spans everything from Brazilian street food to Mexican classics, and they don't skimp on the spice when you ask for it. Staff actually seem to enjoy working here, which makes a difference when you're deciding between the fish tacos or the churrasco chicken. It's become our go-to when we want something reliably good without the faff of booking weeks ahead.
