The Jukebox

You descend into this Park Street basement expecting another generic student night, but The Jukebox delivers something genuinely different. The sound system hits hard enough to feel the bass in your chest, and whoever's booking the DJs actually understands music – expect everything from classic disco and funk to jungle and house, often in the same night. The crowd skews young but not exclusively student, with proper music heads mixing with those just discovering what a decent dancefloor feels like. It gets sweaty, it gets loud, and by 2am you'll wonder why you ever bothered with those sanitised clubs down the road. The drinks are reasonably priced for what you get, and crucially, people come here to dance rather than pose.
