V-Shed - JD Wetherspoon
Enormous Wetherspoons in a converted railway shed that actually feels special, with proper breakfast and cheap pints near the harbourside.
casualhistoricindustriallivelypub
You'll find this sprawling Wetherspoons inside what used to be Brunel's original railway terminus - and somehow the cavernous Victorian architecture makes even a chain pub feel atmospheric. The soaring ceilings and industrial bones give it genuine character that most Spoons can only dream of. Yes, it's still carpet and curry club specials, but the sheer scale means you can usually find a decent table even when Bristol's students descend en masse. The breakfast here is surprisingly decent - proper sausages and eggs that don't taste microwaved - and at these prices, you'd be mad not to take advantage. It's walking distance from the harbour if you need fuel before or after exploring Cabot Circus.
