Walkabout - Bristol

You know what you're getting at this Corn Street outpost of the Aussie sports bar empire, and sometimes that's exactly what you want. The beer's cold, the screens are massive, and when England's playing, the atmosphere gets electric in that slightly unhinged way that only chain sports bars can deliver. Sure, it's not winning any awards for originality, but the staff pour a decent pint, the pool tables aren't wonky, and you can actually hear your mates over the music (unlike half the bars in this part of town). It's reliable weekend chaos with enough space that you won't spend twenty minutes queuing for drinks.
