Miller & Carter Cardiff Bay

You'd be forgiven for walking past another chain restaurant in Cardiff Bay, but this Miller & Carter genuinely knows its way around a piece of beef. The dry-aged steaks arrive with proper ceremony - they'll show you the raw cut before it hits the grill, which feels a bit dramatic but works when the end result is this good. The setting on Hemingway Road puts you right in the thick of the Bay's dining scene, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the waterfront. Service runs like clockwork, and whilst you're paying chain prices, the quality of the aged beef justifies it. The Sunday roasts are particularly strong if you fancy a break from steak, and they pour a decent pint to go with it.
