This converted 1930s building throws live gigs, comedy nights, film screenings and art exhibitions at you across three floors, while serving up surprisingly good fast food that goes way beyond your typical venue grub. The roof terrace is where you'll want to end up on any remotely decent evening, pint in hand, watching the sun set over the city centre. The ground floor canteen does proper loaded fries and decent burgers that actually complement rather than compete with whatever band is soundchecking upstairs. It's the kind of place where you might pop in for lunch and accidentally stay until closing time.
