You'll spot the bright turquoise frontage on Boar Lane before you even reach the door – Mowgli doesn't do subtle. Inside, it's all exposed brick, hanging plants, and mismatched furniture that somehow works perfectly together. The menu reads like a love letter to Indian street food, with proper regional dishes that go way beyond your standard curry house fare. The tiffin boxes are brilliant for indecisive eaters, letting you sample several small plates at once. Their black dhal is genuinely exceptional – rich, smoky, and nothing like the watery versions you'll find elsewhere. The yoghurt chat bombs are messy in the best possible way, and the lamb chops pack serious heat. Service can be a bit scatty when it's busy, but the staff's enthusiasm for the food is infectious.
