The crowd skews younger but not obnoxiously so, and there's none of that velvet rope nonsense you get at some of the area's flashier spots. When the DJ booth is firing on all cylinders and the basement is packed, it reminds you why Liverpool's nightlife still matters. The sound system does the job without blowing your eardrums, and crucially, the bar staff actually know what they're doing even when it's rammed.
