You'll hear Smokies before you see it – the sound of someone absolutely butchering 'Sweet Caroline' spills onto Great Charlotte Street most nights. Inside, it's full-on saloon fantasy with wooden fixtures, wanted posters, and bar staff who've seen enough hen parties to write a book about human nature. The karaoke setup is properly decent, and while the crowd skews heavily towards pre-wedding celebrations, there's something oddly charming about watching a group of accountants from Warrington attempt 'Islands in the Stream'. The drinks are reasonably priced and strong enough to make your Dolly Parton impression seem like a good idea. It's ridiculous, loud, and exactly what it says on the tin.
