Sexy Fish Manchester

You know you're in for something when there's a giant Frank Gehry fish sculpture greeting you at the door. This is dining as performance art, where the ceiling installations are as carefully crafted as the miso black cod. The cocktail list reads like a chemistry experiment – expect dry ice, edible flowers, and bartenders who take themselves very seriously indeed. The sushi is genuinely excellent, though you'll pay handsomely for the privilege of eating it surrounded by what feels like a fever dream of contemporary art. Come for special occasions when you want to feel like you're in a Bond villain's lair, just don't expect intimate conversation over the thumping soundtrack.
