Tomahawk Steakhouse - Newcastle
Proper steaks with serious theatre on the Quayside, where the beef is the star and the riverside views are the supporting act.

You come here when you want to eat meat with your hands and not apologise for it. The riverside location gives you those postcard Tyne Bridge views, but honestly, you'll be too busy wrestling with a bone-in ribeye to spend much time Instagram-ing the scenery. The steaks arrive on wooden boards with all the ceremony they deserve – this isn't the place for delicate knife work.
The atmosphere leans properly meaty and masculine, with dark wood and industrial touches that feel right at home on the Quayside. Service knows their cuts and won't judge you for ordering the biggest thing on the menu. It's pricier than your average night out, but when you're sharing a tomahawk between two, watching the river flow past, it feels like the kind of indulgent evening Newcastle does well.
