Bella Italia - Salford Quays

You know what you're getting at this Salford Quays outpost, and sometimes that's exactly what you want. Tucked inside The Lowry Centre, it's become the default dinner spot for theatre-goers who can't be arsed with the faff of trying somewhere new before a show. The setting's properly nice though – floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the water, and you're a stone's throw from the Imperial War Museum if you fancy a wander after. The menu's standard Bella Italia fare but executed well enough. Their pizzas are thin-based and generous with toppings, while the pasta portions won't leave you hungry. Staff are sound and won't rush you if you're catching an 8pm curtain call. It's not groundbreaking Italian, but it's reliable, the kids' menu keeps little ones happy, and the location's bang on for a Quays day out.
