The Banker's Draft

You walk into what was once Sheffield's grandest banking hall and find yourself surrounded by the usual Wetherspoons crowd nursing £2 pints at 10am. The high ceilings and ornate architecture give this place more character than your average Spoons, but make no mistake - this is still very much a spit-and-sawdust operation where the carpet's seen better days and the toilets are an adventure. The food's standard Wetherspoons fare - microwaved curries and surprisingly decent breakfasts that'll sort you right out after a heavy night on Division Street. It's handy for pre-drinks before hitting the city centre proper, and the central location means you're stumbling distance from everywhere else. Not glamorous, but it does the job when you need a cheap pint and somewhere to sit down in the heart of town.
