You'll spot the queue before you see the restaurant – always a good sign on Walmgate. Inside, it's properly buzzy without being chaotic, with tables crammed close enough that you'll definitely clock what your neighbours are ordering (and probably want it too). The tapas concept works brilliantly here because Thai food was made for sharing, and they've nailed the balance between authentic flavours and portions that won't leave you skint. The kitchen doesn't hold back on heat when you ask for spicy, which is refreshing after too many places that think British palates can't handle proper chilli. Service moves at a decent clip even when rammed, and the prices are spot-on for what you get – proper ingredients cooked with care rather than the usual high street Thai chain nonsense.
