You're heading out to Kennington, past the station towards Mill Lane, and suddenly you're somewhere that feels properly removed from town centre chaos. The Old Mill sits right by the water—there's a real sense of escape about it, the kind of place where regulars have their spots and you immediately understand why. The interior's traditional without being try-hard: low beams, log fires when it's cold, the sort of pub that's clearly been doing its thing for years without needing to reinvent itself every five minutes. Food's decent and reasonably priced, nothing fancy, but executed properly. The garden's the real draw though—especially on decent weather days when you can actually sit outside without freezing.
