You wouldn't expect much from a supermarket bakery, but the one tucked inside this sprawling Sainsbury's near Green Park Station consistently delivers. The smell of fresh bread hits you as soon as you walk past the entrance, and their morning croissants are genuinely flaky rather than the usual supermarket cardboard. The sandwich selection is solid for a quick lunch before catching a train, and they actually bake throughout the day rather than just dumping everything out at dawn. It's handy for grabbing decent coffee and a pastry if you're heading to or from the station, and the prices won't make you wince like some of the boutique spots in town. The staff know their stuff about what's fresh and when the next batch is coming out. Not groundbreaking, but reliable and better than it has any right to be for a chain operation.
