Head down to Lower Widcombe Hill and you'll find yourself in one of Bath's most unpretentious corners. This is where you come when you want to escape the heaving city centre and actually talk to people without shouting. The Social Club has the feel of somewhere that's been doing its thing for years—dark wood, worn-in charm, the kind of place where regulars have their regular spots. You'll get a proper pint, decent cocktails if you fancy them, and absolutely none of the performative nonsense you get elsewhere in Bath.
