Walk through the door of the Royal Standard and you'll clock straightaway why locals keep coming back—this is the kind of place where the bar staff remember your name and the regulars outnumber the tourists. Tucked on N Bar, one of Beverley's most characterful streets, it's got that lived-in feel that comes from being genuinely loved by the community rather than designed to be loved.
