You'll find yourself on one of Digbeth's grittier stretches, but that's half the charm—Hennessey's is the kind of place that doesn't try too hard. The bar's got character in spades, all dark wood and lived-in comfort, the sort of spot where regulars actually know the staff. The food's straightforward grill fare done properly: steaks, burgers, that sort of thing—nothing fancy, but it lands every time.
