Head down to Gibb Street in Deritend and you'll find yourself in a proper neighbourhood spot that takes Ethiopian food seriously. House of Habesha does the classics—doro wot, misir wot, kitfo—with the kind of care that comes from actually knowing what you're doing. The injera is spongy and tangy like it should be, not that rubbery stuff you get elsewhere. It's the sort of place where locals pile in of an evening, the room gets loud and warm, and you're sharing food family-style because that's how it's meant to be eaten.
