You'll smell the jerk spices before you even step inside this Caribbean spot right on the Promenade. While chain restaurants usually water things down for British palates, Turtle Bay keeps the heat and doesn't apologise for it. The curry goat actually has some kick, and their rum punch will sort you right out after a day dodging hen dos along the Golden Mile. The place buzzes most evenings, packed with a mix of tourists wanting something different from the usual chippy fare and locals who've clocked that the cocktails are properly made. At £15 for a main, it's decent value for the location, and they're open until half ten most nights – perfect timing after the shows finish up at the Winter Gardens.
