Walk past the modest frontage on Wokingham Road and you'll find yourself in the kind of pub that's been pulling pints for locals long enough to know everyone's name. It's the antithesis of the shiny chains cluttering the town centre—think worn wooden bar, decent ales on tap, and a crowd that ranges from after-work drinkers to proper regulars nursing their thirds. The Bridge does what it does without trying too hard: serves reasonably priced beer, doesn't do pretentious gastropub nonsense, and feels genuinely lived-in. You'll hear Bracknell accents at every table, and the banter flows as freely as the Guinness. Fair warning: it's absolutely rammed on Friday nights, but that's kind of the point.
