Walk into Baqueano and you'll immediately clock the open kitchen and that unmistakable smell of charred meat. It's the kind of place where they take their grilling seriously—this is proper Argentine cooking, not some half-hearted attempt at mimicking it. The menu reads like a love letter to beef: thick-cut steaks cooked over wood fire, chimichurri that actually tastes alive, and empanadas that feel genuinely handmade. Service is warm without being fussy, and the wine list leans into Argentine bottles (naturally), though they're not precious about it. On Western Road between the seafront and town, it's become exactly the sort of neighbourhood restaurant locals return to repeatedly.
