Caroline of Brunswick does that increasingly rare thing: it feels lived-in without trying. The drinks list takes itself seriously (proper ales, actual wine knowledge), but there's no pretension about it. Food is solidly executed British fare that doesn't overcomplicate things. It's the sort of place you pop into on a Wednesday evening and somehow stay until closing time, or arrive for lunch and lose track of the afternoon.
