Pinocchio
Old-school Italian serving generous portions of proper comfort food just off Churchill Square since the 1980s.

You'll find this stalwart Italian tucked down New Road, where it's been feeding Brighton families and post-shopping crowds for decades. The interior hasn't changed much – checkered tablecloths, wine bottles lining the walls, and that wonderfully lived-in feel that only comes from years of satisfied diners.
The portions here are absolutely enormous, which explains why you'll often see people leaving with doggy bags. Their lasagne could feed a small village, and the pizza bases are proper thick and chewy – none of that trendy thin-crust nonsense. It's the kind of place where the waiters remember your usual order and the tiramisu comes out looking like it could collapse a table. Perfect for when you want comfort food that actually comforts, without any Instagram-worthy presentation getting in the way.
