The Post & Telegraph - JD Wetherspoon
Sprawling Wetherspoons in a gorgeous Victorian post office building, serving proper cheap pints and breakfast until midnight.

You walk into this North Street boozer and immediately clock the soaring ceilings and ornate Victorian features – it's housed in Brighton's old main post office, and they've kept all the best bits. The bar stretches forever, there's seating for what feels like half of Brighton, and somehow it never feels soulless despite being part of the Spoons empire.
The usual Wetherspoons formula applies: dirt-cheap pints, surprisingly decent grub, and breakfast served ridiculously late (until midnight, because this is Brighton and normal rules don't apply). Yes, it gets absolutely rammed on Friday nights with pre-drinking hordes heading to the seafront, but catch it on a weekday afternoon and you've got yourself a proper local with character to spare.
