Walk up Cotham Hill and you'll clock Rubicon Too pretty quickly – it's the sort of café that makes you wonder how Redland managed without it. The vibe is straightforwardly warm: stripped wood, good natural light, and enough regulars on any given morning to suggest they've cracked something most places get wrong. You're getting seriously decent coffee here (the sort where they actually care about grind and extraction), alongside breakfasts that don't pretend to be anything fancy but are clearly made with decent ingredients and a bit of thought. It's the kind of place where you can sit alone for two hours with a book, or accidentally join a table of neighbours you bump into every other Tuesday.
