You'll find this floating bar moored on Water Lane, where the River Stour winds through the old city. It's exactly what it sounds like - a proper punt converted into a licensed bar, and the only way to drink here is on the water. Your bartender punts you along the river while you nurse a pint or G&T, gliding past the Cathedral and under ancient stone bridges. The whole experience runs for about an hour, taking you through parts of Canterbury you'd never see from the high street. It's brilliantly bonkers in the best possible way - very Canterbury, really. The views of the Cathedral from water level are spectacular, and there's something wonderfully surreal about floating past bemused tourists on Westgate while clutching a drink. Book ahead because word's well and truly out.
