Head to The Globe Centre on Wellfield Road and you'll find yourself in one of Cardiff's best-kept spots for hotpot. You sit down, pick your broth (they've got several going), and order raw ingredients—thinly sliced meats, seafood, veg, noodles—which arrive on pretty little plates. Then you cook it all yourself in the bubbling pot at your table, dunking and fishing things out as you fancy. It's genuinely social eating, the kind of thing that makes you lean across and chat with whoever you're with rather than just stare at your plate.
