You'll find Hudo tucked into that stretch of Cowbridge Road East where Pontcanna stops showing off its village charm and starts getting properly interesting. It's the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation without shouting, which immediately sets it apart from half the bars in town. The crowd skews a bit older, a bit more settled, and considerably less concerned with Instagram angles—though the place looks smart enough that you wouldn't blame anyone for trying. Expect proper cocktails (made by people who actually know what they're doing), a decent food menu, and service that doesn't make you feel like you're imposing by ordering a second drink.
