Waterfront Bar & Restaurant

You head down Pier Road and suddenly the Medway opens up in front of you. Waterfront does what it says on the tin: it sits right on the water at Gillingham Marina, and on a clear day it's genuinely lovely. The space feels properly considered, not like they've just plonked some tables by the water and called it done. It's the sort of place where locals take visitors to actually impress them, partly because of those views, partly because the kitchen doesn't mess about with what's on the plate.
