You walk into WoodKraft and immediately clock the open kitchen setup—there's proper theatre happening here, but it never feels show-offy. Wood-fired cooking is having a moment, yes, but what makes this place work is how they've grounded it; this isn't fine dining playing dress-up. The menu reads like things you'd actually want to eat: proper grilled meats, thoughtfully cooked vegetables, bread that matters. Regent Street's seen its share of restaurant churn, so it's refreshing to find somewhere that's clearly built a loyal following and maintained it. The crowd tends toward locals who know what they're after, which always feels like a good sign.
