Head down to Windmill Road and you'll find Al Amora tucked in nicely with the rest of the neighbourhood's independent businesses. It's the kind of place where you can roll in for an evening shisha session that turns into three hours without you realising, mainly because the staff actually look pleased to see you rather than clock-watching. The vibe is relaxed—no velvet ropes or trying-too-hard energy—but it's not rough around the edges either. They've done it properly: decent cocktails behind the bar, a solid menu of mezze and grilled things that taste like someone knows what they're doing, and enough seating that you're not perched on top of strangers.
