You're walking into Turkuaz expecting the usual high street Turkish setup, but there's a real backbone to what they're doing here. The grilled meats come out with proper char—not the timid stuff you get elsewhere—and they're not shy with the spices. Order the mixed grill if you want to see what they can actually do, or stick with the lamb shish if you're being sensible. The meze selection is where it gets interesting: proper hummus, smoky aubergine dip, that kind of thing. It's not fancy, but it's done with actual care, which you notice when you're eating it. Gets properly busy on weekends, which tells you something.
