Arisu Restaurant
Proper Korean cooking on Capel Street that doesn't mess about with fusion nonsense - just brilliant banchan and sizzling bulgogi.

You'll smell the garlic and sesame oil before you even spot the modest shopfront on Capel Street. Inside, it's nothing fancy - fluorescent lighting, plastic chairs, and Korean pop videos playing on repeat - but that's exactly the point. This is where Dublin's Korean community actually eats, and where locals have cottoned on to some of the city's best Asian food.
The banchan arrives in little dishes that cover every inch of your table, and the bulgogi comes out still sizzling on metal plates. Don't bother with the sushi - stick to the Korean classics like bibimbap or the phenomenal kimchi jjigae that'll clear your sinuses and warm you right through. It's cramped, it's loud, and the service can be brusque, but when you're slurping proper Korean soup on a rainy Dublin evening, none of that matters.
