You'll smell the charcoal before you even walk through the door of this serious Spanish grill house on Haddington Road. The open kitchen dominates the space, all flames and sizzling pans, while the dining room keeps things sleek with dark wood and exposed brick. It's the kind of place that takes its grilling very seriously indeed.
The menu reads like a love letter to the Basque country, with massive steaks that arrive perfectly charred and pink in the middle, plus excellent seafood that gets the same careful treatment over the flames. The wine list leans heavily Spanish, naturally, and the staff know their way around both the bottles and the cuts of meat. It's not cheap, but when you're craving proper fire-cooked food in Ballsbridge, nowhere else will do.
