You'll walk past this corner spot a dozen times before realising it's exactly what you've been looking for. The kind of pub where the Guinness is always spot-on, the toasties are proper doorstops of comfort, and the regulars nod hello whether they know you or not. It's got that lived-in feel that newer places spend fortunes trying to recreate - dark wood, worn leather, and enough character in the floorboards to fill a novel. The food here does the job brilliantly without any fuss. Think decent Sunday roasts, fish and chips that don't disappoint, and breakfast rolls that'll sort you right out. Staff actually give a damn, which shouldn't be remarkable but somehow is. It's the sort of place that makes Drumcondra feel like a proper neighbourhood rather than just somewhere between town and the airport.
