The industrial-chic interior works better than it should, with exposed brick and clever lighting that makes the whole place feel more boutique hotel than backpacker central. The cocktail menu is surprisingly thoughtful, and the bartenders actually know what they're doing. What makes it work is the mix – yes, there are travellers with their wheely bags, but you'll also find plenty of locals who've cottoned on to the fact that this place serves a proper drink without the Temple Bar tourist markup. The atmosphere shifts throughout the week, from relaxed after-work pints to buzzy weekend nights when the DJ booth gets fired up.
