McDonald's
The Mary Street McDonald's that somehow feels more civilised than most, with surprisingly decent coffee and reliable late-night refuge.

You know exactly what you're getting when you push through those glass doors on Mary Street, but this particular McDonald's manages to feel slightly less soul-crushing than most. Maybe it's the decent natural light streaming through the windows, or the fact that the seating area doesn't feel like a bus station waiting room.
The coffee is genuinely not terrible - better than half the cafes charging twice the price around here. You'll find yourself queuing behind students from nearby Trinity, office workers grabbing breakfast rolls, and the usual mix of tourists who've wandered up from Temple Bar. The staff move with impressive efficiency during the morning rush, and unlike some locations, they actually seem to give a toss about getting your order right.
