Middle Eastern flavours done proper in Drumcondra, where the hummus is silky and the lamb is spot-on.

You'll walk past this Drumcondra spot easily if you're not paying attention, but that would be a right shame. The modest shopfront gives way to a warm, buzzy dining room where the smell of za'atar and grilled meats fills the air. The menu reads like a love letter to the Levant, with dishes that actually taste like they should rather than some watered-down version for Irish palates.
The lamb shawarma is proper tender, the falafel has that perfect crispy-outside-fluffy-inside thing going on, and the hummus is so good you'll be tempted to ask for a second bowl. Staff know their stuff and aren't shy about recommending what's best on any given day. It's the kind of place that's become a proper local favourite without making a song and dance about it.
