The Barbers Bar

You'll find this place tucked into Grangegorman, well away from the tourist masses but worth the trek from Smithfield or Stoneybatter. The Barbers feels like what Dublin pubs used to be before half of them got turned into gastropubs or craft beer temples – just solid drinks, decent craic, and locals who've been propping up the same spot for years. The pint of Guinness here is properly pulled, and they don't mess about with fancy cocktails or small plates. It's the kind of spot where you pop in for one and somehow end up closing the place down, especially at weekends when it stays open past midnight. The staff know their regulars by name, and there's none of that forced friendliness you get in the more touristy spots around Temple Bar.
