The Brew Dock

Galway Bay's Dublin outpost serves proper craft beer and gutsy food in a converted Victorian warehouse on the Liffey.

You're walking along Amiens Street in Mountjoy and suddenly you spot this converted Victorian warehouse right on the water's edge. That's The Brew Dock—Galway Bay Brewery's answer to Dublin's craft beer scene. Inside, you've got exposed brick, industrial bones, and the kind of place that actually feels like someone cared about the details without trying too hard. The beer list is serious (they brew most of it themselves), but this isn't one of those intimidating craft beer temples where you're made to feel stupid for ordering a lager. Food-wise, they do proper gastropub stuff—think burgers that don't mess about, fish and chips that remind you why the Irish do it well, and enough charcuterie to make an afternoon of it.
