You walk into what feels like a film set from the golden age of Hollywood, complete with original Art Deco fixtures and the kind of dramatic lighting that makes everyone look like they're ready for their close-up. The Odeon occupies a gorgeous old cinema on Harcourt Street, and they've kept all the theatrical glamour while creating one of Dublin's most atmospheric drinking spots. The cocktail menu is properly thought through – no Instagram nonsense, just well-made classics and clever house creations that actually taste good. Come Thursday through Saturday and the place transforms into a proper late-night destination, with DJs spinning until the early hours. It's become the sort of place where you meet for one drink at 8pm and suddenly find yourself dancing at 1am, wondering how the night got away from you.
