The Temple Bar Pub

You know what you're getting into when you push through those red doors. This is peak Temple Bar tourist theatre, complete with traditional music sessions that start at half ten in the morning and punters spilling onto the cobbles with pints in hand. The interior ticks every box on the Irish pub checklist — dark wood, vintage mirrors, and enough memorabilia to stock a museum. Yes, it's touristy as hell, and yes, you'll pay through the nose for your pint (we're talking €7+ for a Guinness). But there's something to be said for a place that's been doing the same thing brilliantly for decades. The musicians are genuinely class, the atmosphere is reliably electric, and when your mates from abroad visit, this is exactly where they want to go. Sometimes the most obvious choice is obvious for good reason.
