You'll smell the spices before you even spot the entrance on Commercial Street. This cramped little Mexican place does things properly – none of that sloppy burrito chain rubbish. The kitchen churns out proper tacos with soft corn tortillas, slow-cooked carnitas that fall apart at the touch of a fork, and mole that's been simmering for hours. The place is tiny, maybe a dozen tables squeezed in, and you'll definitely wait for a seat on weekends. But that's because word's got round that this is the real deal. The margaritas are proper strong too – made with actual tequila, not whatever sugary mixer most places use. Come hungry and prepare to order way too much because everything's brilliant.
