Starbucks Coffee
The Starbucks that's actually useful - prime Nethergate spot with reliable wifi and decent views of the city centre hustle.

You know that corner of Nethergate where the Overgate meets the street? That's where you'll find Dundee's most strategically placed Starbucks, and honestly, it's earned its stripes. While I'm usually banging on about independent coffee shops, this one gets the basics absolutely right - strong wifi that doesn't cut out every five minutes, enough seating that you're not hovering vulture-like over laptop users, and windows that give you a proper view of Dundee's city centre comings and goings.
The coffee's exactly what you'd expect from the green mermaid, but the location makes it genuinely handy for everything from pre-shopping fuel to post-V&A caffeine hits. Staff are sound, the place stays clean despite the constant foot traffic, and those early 7:30am opening times are a godsend when you need somewhere reliable before the rest of the city's properly awake.
