Morgans

Walk down South Street towards the seafront and you'll find Morgans tucked in amongst the usual high street suspects, but this place punches well above its weight. It's the sort of restaurant where you genuinely feel looked after without anyone fussing unnecessarily—staff know their stuff and actually care whether you're enjoying yourself. The Italian menu does exactly what it says on the tin: honest pasta, properly made risottos, and the kind of dishes that make you wonder why you'd bother ordering in. Nothing pretentious, nothing overdone. Just food that tastes like someone who knows what they're doing is in the kitchen.
