Pebbles Eastbourne

You're walking past the Enterprise Centre on Station Parade, and suddenly there's proper cooking happening—the kind of place that takes its fish seriously without being pretentious about it. Pebbles sits in that sweet spot where locals actually eat, just near enough to the seafront to justify the fresh catch but far enough inland that you're not paying tourist prices. The kitchen does excellent fish and chips (the batter's crisp, the fish genuinely flaky), but they'll also do you a decent bouillabaisse or pan-seared sea bass if you're feeling ambitious. It's got that relaxed seaside vibe without trying too hard—proper Eastbourne, in other words.
