You'll find yourself on one of the West End's busiest thoroughfares, but step inside Red Squirrel and it feels like someone's carved out a proper neighbourhood local that just happens to take its kitchen seriously. The sort of place where you can grab a pint and some decent pub grub, but equally where you'd book a table if mates were coming down from Glasgow. Dark wood, low lighting, that worn-in comfort of a pub that knows what it's doing—no twee nonsense, just good proportions and food that tastes like it matters.
